As you know I am a big believer in sound testing equipment in a live environment, its not always possible but here I was captured on a mobile phone, its not the best recording but you can hear the sound and quality of the guitar pickups.
I am using Iron Gear Tesla Shark pickups, a Blackstar series 1 - 100watt head (EL34B power tubes) Crunch channel for rhythm and channel 3 for lead, Hiwatt 2x12 cab with 70-80 speakers (not happy with these speakers but saving some cash so I can buy vintage 30's or similar). Only using reverb (and a small amount of delay) in this solo, nothing else.
Yes tone starts with your fingers and everything else you use adds to that sound but the pickups are a massive factor in your guitar.
